The nominations deadline for an array of special business awards – to be presented at a spectacular OxLEP Business event in October – has been extended to the end of August.
The OxLEP Business Marketplace and Celebration 2024 event will take place on 3 October at the Examination Schools venue, on Oxford’s High Street. It will bring together some of the best businesses in Oxfordshire, in particular highlighting the success of those supported by OxLEP Business.
The awards are open to any business in Oxfordshire that has received support from OxLEP Business since April 2022. Nominations will close at midnight on 30 August.
There are a total of eight categories interested businesses can make nominations towards – they are the following:
- Socially Responsible Business of the Year Award – sponsored by The Sky Wave Distilling Co.
- Employer of the Year Award – sponsored by The Motivation Agency
- Growth Business of the Year Award – sponsored by Howden
- Environmentally Sustainable Business of the Year Award – sponsored by ALP Synergy
- Innovator of the Year Award – sponsored by P3MO
- Business Leader of the Year Award – sponsored by the Institute of Directors
- Start-up of the Year Award – sponsored by Cypher
- Exporter of the Year Award – sponsored by Stephen Spencer + Associates
Alongside the awards, a variety of Oxfordshire businesses will be exhibiting their organisation’s work and products as part of a marketplace set-up, with many showcasing their own business journey backed by OxLEP Business’ support.
This year’s event follows a successful, similar celebration in June 2023.
That event saw OxLEP Business and dozens of its clients come together at Oxford’s Natural History Museum to celebrate the impact of OxLEP’s two European-funded programmes of eScalate and Innovation Support for Business (ISfB), which collectively saw just 12,000 hours of business support delivered, supporting at total of 1,400 organisations.
